My Friend Writes, "Paddy's Racing Potato"

My good friend and cycling buddy from the Bedminster Flyers Cycling Club in New Jersey, Calvin Houtz, has published his first children's book, "Paddy's Racing Potato". It is a whimsical tale of Paddy, an Irish mechanic, that creates a racing potato to compete against other racing vegtables in the famous French "Grand Prix des Legumes".

I'm happy to see the very good publicity he received in the latest issue of 'Classic and Sportscar'. Calvin worked for three years on the artwork which is truly amazing. I hope he will now have, finally, more time for riding.

This beautifully illustrated children's book is fun for all ages. It is available from http://www.racemaker.com/ or by calling (001) 617 723 6533. The price is $19.95.

WAY TO GO CALVIN! Congratulations!

  1. We have several pieces of art by Mr. Houtz hanging in our house. All are exquisite little jewels with terrific detail. He also developed the design for our club jersey.

Can't wait to order a copy (or three!) of his book as gifts for our younger friends... and to help finance that new bike!
